The Challenge
The curved and narrow structure of the yacht interior stair forms made it difficult to fit the carpet completely on the stair risers as a single piece without slipping or puckering. In addition, it was necessary to make a flawless floor preparation by creating a moisture barrier in the narrow corridors on the subfloor.
Our Professional Solution
Our thick marine carpet, which increases the feeling of luxury and provides sound insulation, was applied as a single piece to the stair steps by extracting special templates. Millimetric adhesion of the carpet to the floor was ensured by using marine-type water-resistant flexible adhesives in curved areas.
