In computer-based e-exam centers, protecting electronic devices from static electricity is of vital importance. In addition, due to heavy student traffic, the floor needed to be ultra-resistant to wear, and a hospital-standard hygienic detail solution was required to prevent dust/dirt accumulation in the corners.
Self-leveling smart screed was applied to the floor and smoothed. High-traffic (Class 34/43) resistant, silver-ion anti-static 2mm Homogeneous PVC roll flooring was fixed to the floor with acrylic glue applied by a special combing method. The joints were combined with PVC wicks of the same color melted with a 400-degree hot air weld to obtain a seamless surface. A hygienic finish harboring zero bacteria was achieved by turning 40 meters of curved composite skirting with a cove former profile at the bottom of the walls.
