The Challenge
Floor curvatures naturally formed in rustic stone-walled buildings and the floor cold felt in winter were the biggest problems. In addition, in two separate villas, one being a 70m2 lower floor and the other a 140m2 full house, natural oak wood had to be integrated into the asymmetric surfaces of stone walls with zero tolerance.
Our Professional Solution
The floors were insulated with an acoustic underlay with a moisture barrier that prevents heat loss. Natural oak textured engineered wood, which perfectly matches the rustic texture of stone houses, was applied. 100% impact and water-resistant composite skirting boards were used at the base of the walls. At the skirting joints, especially when approaching stone walls and paneling, aesthetic perfection was achieved with millimetric miter cuts and siliconized joint fillings.

An eye-catching luxury wooden floor was created, breaking the cold feeling of the stone walls and integrating with the warmth of the fireplace. With the excellent craftsmanship in threshold transitions and composite skirting details, a complete architectural magazine atmosphere was achieved in the client's home.
